4th of July at the coast

For our 4th of July this year, we met up with the Werner family for a little celebration and camping. For the west coast, we actually had some really nice weather. We were able to spend a few days at the beach, had lots of campfires, smores, a cute little small town parade with lots of candies being thrown, some very serious sandcastle building, and a perfect end to the 4th with a fire on the beach and small fireworks shows around us.

We also had a celebration for Keagan's first birthday, as my family was unable to make it up for the earlier celebration. Here is Keagan opening his present...
Loving his hostess birthday cupcake....
Singing Happy Birthday
For those of you who don't know, Aaron and I were engaged at Cannon Beach, on July 3rd, 6 years ago now. So, we were able to slip away for dinner that night to eat at the restaurant we ate at that night! Wow, that feels like a long time ago.
One of the amazing sunsets!
Keagan and Grandpa, walking on the beach.
My mamma on the beach....
My Dad....looking out at the ocean....thru the fog.
And.....at last...the castle creation by Aaron, Justin, and Caleb. It took 8 1/2 hours to build this masterpiece.....

Keagan took to the sand with no problem. He was so excited....he would rub it in his hair, throw it up, dig his toes in deep....so fun. And no fear of the waves...he tried crawling out into the water.
Just one of our mornings at a park near the beach....love this kid like you would not believe!!!!
Keagan and Aaron....

Number ONE twice

The Werner family weren't able to make it up for Keagan's little celebration at my house, so we had another little one during our 4th of July get-together. Here is Keagan and some of his biggest fans....singing happy birthday and having a fun little hostess cake cupcake.

Keagan turns ONE!

My sweet little Keagan turned ONE! He is such a smilie, snuggly little boy. He loves to laugh and loves to see if he can get others to laugh. He loves to explore, but never for long. He always comes back soon, to make sure that mommy is near by. I LOVE that.

We had a little party for him with the Boeger side of our family. Here he is...SO excited for the balloons. He loved to play punching bag with them. And it made him laugh when it would come back up and bonk him in the face. While we decorated and prepared, he just had fun chasing the balloons.

Gavin, just so proud to be decorating little brother's birthday cake.
Daddy and Gavin, the official cake decorators.
Auntie Rara always makes a party better. My boys LOVE her.

Alexis and Gavin made puppets for the party.....
The boys and their ballooned Radio Flyer.
Getting ready to blow out the candle together!
Keagan and his cake......

Me and my baby
This is Keagan on his actual birthday morning. One year ago, this June 24th, my heart was filled up again, more than I ever thought possilble. His sweet and gentle soul has captured us all.
The boys swining in the back yard on Keagan's birthday. Gavin has also been captured by his little brother. They are getting closer and closer. Thank you Lord, for blessing me with this sweet angel face.

Northwest Trek

Aaron had most of June off. It was a great time as a family. We did things like go out to breakfast, took a ferry boat ride in downtown Seattle, made dinner with Auntie Rara at her apartment, played lots of Rock Band with our cousin Jean Marc while he visited for a few days, went on walks to the parks nearby, played lots in our backyard and many dinners were grilled. It was just wonderful to be together so much. Unfortunately, I have lost my enthusiasm for taking pictures.(which I am promising myself I will find again) so I don't have enough pictures of our month. But one day, we went to Northwest Trek and I did get a few pictures. Sadly, my batteries died.....and I didn't get as many of the boys as I would have liked. But here are a couple.

Camping

Well, the end of May and early part of June, we headed our for our 2nd camping trip. It was a fun and busy time. My parents, 3 of my brothers and sisters & my cousin Jean Marc joined us for the week. We got a really great taste of what camping with our little family was like. I have to say, though, that maybe 7 nights was just a little too long at this stage in our life. I think 3-4 nights would be a little more perfect...as the boys and I just don't sleep as well. Of course, Aaron has no trouble sleeping, but as we all know...he never has. Gavin asleep in Daddy's arms by the fire one night. The long days out really wore him out. I just wish it would make him sleep in....

My sweet boys

We finally got our pictures CD in the mail that we had professionally done 2 months ago. I LOVE them, but of course, I am their mom. And I think they are perfectly adorable! Gavin is one month before his 3rd birthday...and Keagan is 8 1/2 months here.
